All cars have batteries, but the new generations of vehicles are run partially (hybrid vehicles) or even entirely by batteries (electric cars).
But these aren't your usual "duracell bunny batteries"
These batteries are humongous, and the cars either need to be plugged into an electrical source to chatrge the battery, in the caseof the all-electric car, or the battery is charged automatically as the car is driven. In that case, the battery is being charged anytime the wheels are turning and you are coasting or accelerating.
